How She Built a 7-Figure Travel Business

I joined Hussein Al-Ghazi to talk about building a solopreneur business from scratch, and how working with him on my website and branding became a real turning point.

What was the moment I realized I needed my own brand instead of relying on my agency?

I was on a familiarization trip in Cabo when it hit me: clients aren't really working with the agency, they're working with me, my cell phone number, my email. I came home and spent a weekend building my own website, switched my Instagram to a business account, and decided I was going all in on being the brand myself.

How did reviews and referrals actually grow my business?

They became the engine. Once I started asking clients directly for testimonials, my Google reviews stacked up quickly, and I coach the newer advisors on my team to lean into that early because it's where exponential growth really comes from.

What's the biggest ROI investment I've made in my business?

Travel itself. Living in Italy for a month with a two-year-old, right after COVID, turned into content I still reuse today and made Italy my number two bestseller ever since. The trip pays for itself many times over because it becomes years of authentic material.

How did LinkedIn end up landing me corporate incentive group business?

It's been the hardest platform for me personally, but also one of the fastest to pay off. I've scored multiple incentive group trips from LinkedIn connections, since decision-makers at companies are still there thinking about vacation, and the platform gives me a different kind of legitimacy than Instagram.

Why did I finally have to build a team instead of doing everything myself?

After COVID, pent-up demand hit like an avalanche and I realized I'd become the choke point of my own business. I started bringing on advisors for the trip types that weren't my strength, freeing myself to focus on the high-value client calls where I actually make my sales.
